Hospitals

Hospital phone charging stations and power bank kiosks for waiting areas and family spaces.

Families wait for hours with a phone that is their only link to relatives, work and transport home. GridPulse provides a quiet, accessible charging amenity for patients, families, visitors and staff — with content the hospital controls.

A calm, unobtrusive amenity for a care environment. No aggressive advertising, no clinical claims, and content governed entirely by the hospital.

What the platform delivers

Visitor experience

Patients, families, visitors and staff stay reachable during long waits without searching for an outlet.

Managed deployment

Placement planning, installation coordination, monitoring and service handled by GridPulse, with minimal demand on facilities teams.

Appropriate messaging

Hospital-controlled information on Hub screens — wayfinding support, service hours, foundation messaging — rather than intrusive advertising.

Measurable operations

Waiting-area utilization and fleet health reported through PulseOS™ for facilities and patient experience teams.

Operational reality

Why hospitals deploy GridPulse

01

Long, unpredictable waits leave families with dead phones and no way to update relatives.

A borrowable Power Pack keeps them connected without leaving the waiting area or asking staff for help.

02

Improvised charging with borrowed cables creates trip hazards and clutter.

A single, accessible Hub placement consolidates charging and removes cables from walkways.

03

Care environments cannot host loud, animated commercial screens.

Screen content is quiet, hospital-approved, and governed entirely by the facility.

04

Large campuses are difficult for visitors to navigate.

Hub screens can carry hospital-provided orientation and service information where the facility chooses to publish it.

How it works

Borrow a charged Power Pack. Keep moving. Return it at a Hub.

In hospitals a visitor typically borrows in a lobby or waiting area and returns at any participating Hub on the campus before leaving.

  1. Step 1

    Tap or scan

A guest taps the contactless reader or scans the QR code on the GridPulse Hub™ display. No app download is required to start.

  2. Step 2

    Borrow a charged Power Pack

A charged portable Power Pack releases from the bay. Integrated cables cover the common phone connectors, so nothing else is needed.

  3. Step 3

    Charge while moving

The guest keeps moving through the venue while the device charges — no seat next to an outlet, no waiting at a wall.

  4. Step 4

    Return at a participating Hub

The pack is returned to any open bay at a participating GridPulse Hub™ on the property and the session closes automatically. Returns across separate properties depend on the Hubs deployed in the GridPulse Network™.

Questions

Hospitals frequently asked questions

How much space does a hospital placement need?

Hub One™ needs a compact freestanding footprint with accessible clearance, and Mini Hub™ sits on a counter. Placements are agreed with facilities during the site review.

What does it cost the hospital?

GridPulse can structure managed pilots with no hospital capital purchase, subject to site review and commercial agreement. Commercial terms are facility-specific.

Where do visitors return the Power Pack?

At any open bay on a participating GridPulse Hub™ on the hospital campus. Returns elsewhere depend on the Hubs deployed in the GridPulse Network™.

Who maintains and services the units?

GridPulse monitors the fleet remotely through PulseOS™ and handles service, so clinical and facilities staff are not managing batteries or screen content.

How are content and data handled in a care setting?

All screen content is approved by the hospital and kept quiet and appropriate. Reporting is aggregated utilization and engagement only — no facial recognition, no personally identifying tracking, and no patient data.
