GridPulse Infrastructure

Shopping Centers

Shopping center phone charging stations and retail media kiosks for center court and corridors.

Shoppers browse, compare, pay and navigate on a phone that is already low when they arrive. GridPulse turns charging into a reason to stay longer — and gives the center a measurable digital surface in its highest-traffic positions.

A shopper convenience and a retail media placement in the same piece of infrastructure, operated and serviced by GridPulse.

GridPulse Hub™ in a shopping center corridor with storefronts behind it

What the platform delivers

Shopper experience

A charged Power Pack lets shoppers keep browsing, paying and meeting up instead of leaving to charge.

Managed deployment

Placement planning, installation coordination, monitoring and service handled by GridPulse.

Retail media

Center-controlled screens for tenant offers, campaigns and center events, subject to the final commercial model.

Measurable operations

Corridor-level utilization and campaign reporting through PulseOS™ to support leasing and marketing conversations.

Operational reality

Why shopping centers deploy GridPulse

01

A dead phone ends the visit. Payments, offers and parking all depend on it.

Borrowable Power Packs at center court and anchor corridors keep the visit going.

02

Shoppers struggle to find specific stores in a large center.

Hub displays can carry center directory and store-discovery content curated by the center's marketing team.

03

Tenant marketing is hard to measure inside the physical center.

Hub screens provide aggregated play and engagement reporting for tenant and partner campaigns.

04

Charging furniture often becomes a maintenance and appearance problem.

GridPulse operates the fleet remotely, keeping units serviced and consistent with the center's design standards.

How it works

Borrow a charged Power Pack. Keep moving. Return it at a Hub.

Shoppers usually borrow at center court on arrival and return at a participating Hub near the exit or parking deck.

  1. Step 1

    Tap or scan

A guest taps the contactless reader or scans the QR code on the GridPulse Hub™ display. No app download is required to start.

  2. Step 2

    Borrow a charged Power Pack

A charged portable Power Pack releases from the bay. Integrated cables cover the common phone connectors, so nothing else is needed.

  3. Step 3

    Charge while moving

The guest keeps moving through the venue while the device charges — no seat next to an outlet, no waiting at a wall.

  4. Step 4

    Return at a participating Hub

The pack is returned to any open bay at a participating GridPulse Hub™ on the property and the session closes automatically. Returns across separate properties depend on the Hubs deployed in the GridPulse Network™.

Questions

Shopping Centers frequently asked questions

How much common-area space does a Hub need?

A compact freestanding footprint clear of circulation for Hub One™, or an existing counter for Mini Hub™. Positions are agreed during the site review.

What does it cost the center?

GridPulse can structure managed pilots with no venue capital purchase, subject to site review and commercial agreement. Commercial terms are center-specific.

Where do shoppers return the Power Pack?

At any open bay on a participating GridPulse Hub™ in the center. Returns elsewhere depend on the Hubs deployed in the GridPulse Network™.

Who maintains the units?

GridPulse monitors the fleet remotely through PulseOS™ and handles service, so center staff are not managing batteries or screen content.

How does advertising and data work?

Screen content is governed by the center. Reporting is aggregated engagement and utilization only — no facial recognition and no personally identifying shopper profiles.
